Medium-bright ruby in color, this is a wine of considerable drive and finesse. Already displaying impressive depth and persistence from the start, it got better and better as the evening went on and it began to relax and show off a bit. With a sensual elegance just peeking through the dense power of darker toned fruit. Racy acidity combines with dense fruit for just the right amount of lift. Dark cherry fruit core of great depth, raspberry, mushroom, and floral hints float above the emerging smokey cured meat at the bottom. It is just starting to show off with touches of minerality and forest floor shining through.
