"Elegant raspberry-dominant nose, with a sheen of new oak. Lean and pure attack, lifted and refined. Exquisite fruit and concentration, impeccably balanced.Drinking Window 2019 - 2035."

WA 95-97
"The 2015 Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Clos Saint-Jacques has a very well-defined bouquet that offers lifted redcurrant and wild strawberry aromas, interwoven with wet limestone and almost flint-like scents. The palate is medium-bodied with very fine tannin. This is seamless and silky smooth, a Clos Saint-Jacques determined to show the other vineyards what it can do. Beautiful delineation and focus on the finish, this is an outstanding Clos Saint-Jacques from Bruno Clair that will offer 20 or 30 years of drinking pleasure."

BH 92-95
"This is almost a hypothetical combination of the Petite Chapelle and the Cazetiers as there are elements of both on the red cherry, floral, wild berry and sauvage-scented aromas. The sense of underlying tension and vibrancy of the once again intensely mineral-driven middle weight flavors is almost irresistible as is the outstanding complexity, balance and sheer class of the finish. This hugely long effort is harmonious and sophisticated and it should also amply repay extended cellaring. Brilliant."

  Vinous 92-94
"
(vinified with 25% whole clusters): Medium red. Very sexy, soil-driven scents of wild strawberry, raspberry, underbrush and rose petal. Fine-grained and utterly seamless in texture, with its soil-driven red berry flavors framed and enlivened by strong mineral and floral elements. A step up in inner-mouth tension than the foregoing samples. At once dense and weightless, this is by far the longest to this point of Clair's 2015s, finishing with strong saline minerality that excites the tastebuds. With its dusty, well-supported tannins, this wine should evolve slowly and gracefully."
